Paying your rent

Rent is paid monthly by standing order. If you’re ever worried about a payment, talk to us early — we’re here to help.

Repairs & maintenance

If you’re one of our managed tenants, report a repair below and we’ll arrange trusted local contractors.

Staying on & moving on

Most tenancies now roll on a periodic (monthly) basis, so there’s no fixed end date to worry about. When you decide to move on, just give the notice set out in your agreement and we’ll guide you through check-out and your deposit return.

Common questions

How much deposit do I need to pay?

For most tenancies the security deposit is capped at five weeks’ rent, plus a holding deposit of one week’s rent to reserve the property.

Can I rent with pets?

Yes — since the Renters’ Rights Act came into force on 1 May 2026, you have the right to request a pet and your landlord can’t unreasonably refuse. They must reply in writing within 28 days and may ask you to arrange pet insurance to cover any damage. Just tell us when you enquire and we’ll help you put the request forward.

How long does referencing take?

Typically two to five working days once we have all your documents — we’ll keep you posted throughout.

Is my deposit protected?

Yes — every deposit is registered with a government-approved deposit protection scheme and you’ll receive the details in writing.
