Applying for a Rental Property
Getting Started
You will need a valid email address and access to the internet in order to apply for one of our rental properties.
Once you have found a property you like you'll need to arrange an accompanied viewing by calling our office on 0121 355 0880 or by emailing us at contact@steve-morris.co.uk.
We do not accept applications until either you have viewed the property or a family member/friend has viewed on your behalf.
Application Process
Having viewed the property you will need to register your interest. This can be done using the form below in which you'll need to provide the following information:
- The address of the property you are applying for.
- The full name, email address and mobile phone number of each applicant over the age of 18 who will be living at the property.
- Additional information such as whether any applicants smoke, have pets, etc.
The information provided will be passed onto our referencing partner Canopy and each applicant will receive an e-mail asking them to complete a 'Rent Passport'.
By submitting the form below you agree to us passing your information onto Canopy.
You will be required to provide your bank account details for a Credit Check, current landlord details (if you have one) and your income details.
Once this essential screening has been carried out for each applicant, we will inform the landlord and providing the landlord is happy to continue with the application, we will request a holding deposit equal to one week's rent. When the holding deposit has been recieved we will instruct Canopy to continue with the rent passport and you may be asked to provide additional information to them.
The Final Steps
When the rent passport is complete for all applicants we will advise the landlord and subject to their agreement we will arrange a move in with yourselves. On this date we will meet you at the property in order to sign the tenancy agreement and you will receive the keys.
The first months rent and any security deposit will be required in cleared funds before your move-in date.
